Partner Activity – A business, company or agency that has provided an on-going partner activity over an extended period of time (minimum of three years), by means of volunteer time, services, finances or other types of support, in amount that exceeds typical collaboration from a private or public institution.

Friends of Education recognizes volunteer efforts throughout the state. In addition to the Partner Activity category, districts may also submit nominations for school volunteer, community leader, community organizations and private or public sector institution awards.

Its members include: American Association of University Women, Kansas Congress of Parents and Teachers, Kansas Association of School Boards, Kansas National Education Association, Kansas School Public Relations Association, Kansas State Board of Education, Kansas State High School Activities Association, and United School Administrators of Kansas.
